The Test Way stretches from Inkpen in Berkshire to Eling Wharf in Hampshire and has been divided into eight sections, each providing a great day out. Sections Mottisfont to Romsey (5 miles) or Romsey to Eling (9 miles) can start or end in Romsey.
The Test Way has much variety. You can choose between water meadows or tidal marshes, riverbank picnics or cosy pubs, steep hills with spectacular views or cool, peaceful woodland.
The route also passes through some of the prettiest villages in Hampshire, with plenty to see including listed buildings and historic churches and houses. There are many places to stop for refreshments, antique shops to explore, local craft shops to visit and places to stay overnight should you wish to break up your walks.
