Romsey Station opened in 1847, and is a twin of Micheldever station and a Grade ll listed building.
Romsey station was also a major embarkation point for troops during both the First and Second World Wars. The station saw 10,000's of horses making their way to the Romsey remount Depot via this station during the First World War. You'll find a permanent exhibition of photographs showing the history of the station in the waiting room.
Romsey Station is a great place from which to explore Romsey and the surrounding area. There are also local walks linking Romsey to other stations, places of interest and rail link bus connections.
